Re: HPU Unit
The Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is used to test various subsea tooling. The unit has four lifting points. Here is the information about it: Technical data / Specifications Dimensions (overall) Length 56 in Width 42 in Height 42 inWeight (air 1,500 lb) Here I have uploaded the image of it. You can get the image after downloading it from here. |

Re: HPU Unit
Hydraulic power units provide pressurized flow to hydraulic motors, cylinders, and other hydraulic components. It is differ from pumps, as an HPU contains a fluid reservoir, multiple pump stages and coolers to keep fluid at a safe working temperature. SMS Hydraulic Power Units can be designed but not limited to the following internationally recognised standards:- IEC 60079-7 Explosive Atmospheres -- Part 7: Equipment Protection by Increased Safety "e" IEC 60079-9 Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmospheres -- Part 9: Marking IEC 60079-11 Explosive Atmospheres -- Part 11: Equipment Protection by Intrinsic Safety "i" IEC 60079-14 Explosive Atmospheres -- Part 14: Electrical Installations Design, Selection and Erection IEC 60079-17 Explosive Atmospheres -- Part 17: Electrical Installations Inspection and Maintenance BS EN 13463-5 Non-Electrical Equipment Intended for use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres – Part 5: Protection by Constructional Safety “c” BS EN 1127-1 Explosive Autospheres – Explosion Prevention and Protection – Part 1: Basic Concepts and Methodology 97/23/EC Pressure Equipment Directive ISO 13628-1 Design and Operation of Subsea Production Systems.
