Education Qualification
Minimum educational qualification for employment in above mentioned positions are:
• Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology in the above mentioned disciplines.

• Candidates (belonging to General and OBC-NC category) should have secured
minimum 60% marks (aggregate marks of all semesters) in qualifying degree
examinations, relaxed to 50% (aggregate marks of all semesters) for SC/ST/PWD
candidates

Analog and Digital Electronics: Characteristics of diodes, BJT, FET; amplifiers - biasing, equivalent circuit and frequency response; oscillators and feedback amplifiers; operational amplifiers - characteristics and applications; simple active filters; VCOs and timers; combinational and sequential logic circuits; multiplexer; Schmitt trigger; multi-vibrators; sample and hold circuits; A/D and D/A converters; 8-bit / 16-bit microprocessor basics, architecture, programming and interfacing.

2Control Systems: Principles of feedback; transfer function; block diagrams; steady-state errors; Routh and Niquist techniques; Bode plots; root loci; lag, lead and lead-lag compensation; state space model; state transition matrix, controllability and observability.

3Electric Circuits and Fields: Network graph, KCL, KVL, node and mesh analysis, transient response of dc and ac networks; sinusoidal steady-state analysis, resonance, basic filter concepts; ideal current and voltage sources, Thevenin’s, Norton’s and Superposition and Maximum Power Transfer theorems, two-port networks, three phase circuits; Gauss Theorem, electric field and potential due to point, line, plane and spherical charge distributions; Ampere’s and Biot-Savart’s laws; inductance; dielectrics; capacitance.

Position: Graduate Trainees in the following disciplines:



Eligibility:

Candidates must have qualified in GATE 2015 in the specified GATE 2015 Exam Paper.

Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology from recognized Indian Universities with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).

Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply

Age Limit:

Age should not be more than 25 years as on June 30, 2015 (relaxation as per norms).

Selection Procedure:

On the basis of GATE 2015 Scores (85% weight age) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview with 15% weight age for both

Application Fee:

Rs 260 (Non -refundable) to be paid by General & OBC-NC candidates while applying for HPCL.
