Hi buddy I am here to know how we can join indian economic services, is there any exam conducted for it , if yes then what qualification need to appear in exam

Indian Economic Service is the administrative civil service under Grade A of the Central Civil Services of the executive branch of the Government of India, to join Indian Economic Service you have to fight IES exam conducted by UPSC Eligibility Post Graduate Degree from a recognised university in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics. Age - limits: 21-30 years on 1st January of the year of Examination Scheme of Examination Indian Economic Service (a) General English 100 Marks (b) General Studies 100 Marks (c) General Economics-I 200 Marks (d) General Economics-II 200 Marks (e) General Economics-III 200 Marks (f) General Economics 200 Marks Career progression Applicant recommended for IES start their career as Assistant Director. The existing hierarchy in the service is as follows: Higher Administrative Grade +(Principal/Chief Economic Adviser, equivalent to the level of Secretary in the Government of India) Higher Administrative Grade (Senior Economic Adviser/Senior Adviser, equivalent to the level of Addl. Secretary in the Government of India) Senior Administrative Grade (Economic Adviser/Adviser, equivalent to the level of Joint Secretary in the Government of India) Non-Functional Selection Grade (Director/Additional Economic Adviser, equivalent to the level of Director in the Government of India) Junior Administrative Grade (Joint Director/Deputy Economic Adviser/Deputy Adviser, equivalent to the level of Deputy Secretary in the Government of India) Senior Time Scale (Deputy Director/Assistant Adviser/Assistant Commissioner/Senior Research Officer, equivalent to the level of Under Secretary in the Government of India) Junior Time Scale (Assistant Director) |
