To become pilot in Indian air force you have to passed Combined Defense Services Examination of UPSC after passing B tech engineering degree course. Educational Qualifications: Air Force Academy You have to passed B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering course Naval Academy You have to passed B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics OR You have to passed Bachelor of Engineering degree from a well recognized university IMA & OTA Degree of a recognized University or equivalent CDS exam dates : Date of Notification: 19.07.2014 Start of receipt of applications: 19.07.2014 Last date for receipt of applications: 18.08.2014 Date of Examination: 26.10.2014 Results: First week of April 2015 Age-limits: 19-24 Years Indian Military Academy 19-22 Years Naval Academy 19-23 Years Air Force Academy 19-25 Years Officers’ Training Academy Exam pattern : Scheme of Examination: Written Examination (a) For Indian Military Academy Naval Academy and Air Force Academy 1. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has authorised some flying training institutes/ academies/ clubs to conduct the examination to issue Student pilot’s license. You might become a commercial pilot, or a flying Pilot in IAF(Indian air force). To become a commercial pilot, you must get a student pilot’s license, private pilot license and then a commercial pilot license. Eligibility for become a pilot: Candidates need to join Air flying schools after completion of 10+2 with non-medical science stream with at least 50% aggregate. Candidates have to clear entrance exam of the flying schools. Candidates have to pass physical fitness test. Fees is very high for education about 15-20 lakhs. Age: Candidate should be unmarried Male or Female Indian citizen, 19 to 23 years of age To get the student pilot’s license, you must clear an oral examination in the subjects air navigation, aviation meteorology, air regulation, aircraft and engine/ instruments in general and specific. The PPL and CPL examinations are written examinations. Selection process: Written exam Personal interview Medical test |
