After Graduation, to become a Pilot in Indian Air Force being a girl, she have to appear in CDS or AFCAT exam, here are CDS exam details:

CDS

Combined Defense Services (CDS) examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Only candidates who are unmarried and have completed their graduation are eligible to sit for this exam.

Eligibility:
The Candidates must be a graduate from any recognized university with Physics and Mathematics as subjects or must have an engineering graduate degree.

Syllabus

Elementary Mathematics:-
Arithmetic Algebra Trigonometry Geometry Mensuration Statistics

General Knowledge:- Questions are based on current topics, science, history of India, geography, etc.

English:- This paper tests candidates' knowledge in the English language.

Paper Pattern
Paper Pattern CDS will be a 6 hour exam covering 3 subjects each of 100 marks. Candidates need to solve each paper in 2 hours.
Elementary Mathematics Test is not required for the admission to Officers Training Academy.

Date of Notification:- 08.11.2014
Last date for receipt of applications:- 05.12.2014 (FRIDAY)
Date of commencement of Examination:- 15.02.2015 (SUNDAY)
Duration of the Exam:- 1 DAY

Girls can become Pilot in IAF or Indian Air Force. To become a pilot, then the candidate need to crack the Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT through flying branch examination.

Flying (pilot) Short Service Commission:-

To apply for Pilot in Indian Air force , you should have a completed graduate degree with any desire subject or equivalent qualification from a recognized University and you must score at least 60% aggregate marks in the graduation and have a physics and mathematics at 12th exam or B.E/B.Tech from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and you must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination.

Those who are appearing in the final year of degree course or awaiting in the exam results can also eligible to apply , but there is no backlogs at the time of appearing for the exam and should have a minimum 60% aggregate marks in last two years .

You must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 23 years and Upper age limits is applicable for Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders.

Both the Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply for this examination.

The notification is publish in the month of Nov or Dec in the official website of Indian Air force as well as employment news paper.

Minimum height for male candidates 162.5 cms .
Female candidates minimum height is 152 cms .

Visual Standards for Air force :-


Minimum Distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for Hypermetropia.
Colour vision CP-1 Hypermetropia: +2.0 D Sph
Manifest Myopia: Nil ,
Retinoscopic Myopia: -0.5 in any Meridian permitted ,
Astigmatism: +0.75 D Cyl (within +2.0 D-Max) .

Additional Requirements :-

-Running 2-4 Km in 15 minutes.
-Skipping
-Push ups and sit ups (minimum 20 each)
-Chin ups (minimum 08)
-Rope climbing 3-4 meters
