How To Attend TNEA Counselling

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by the Anna University for the admission in various constituents and associated colleges of Tamil Nadu.

Anna University is conducting TNEA Counselling from June 27 onwards for general candidates for admission to engineering courses in Tamil Nadu colleges.

TNEA Counselling 2016 is being held separately for different candidate categories, including General counselling and Counselling for vocational candidates.

The university has made available TNEA 2016 Rank List on June 22

TNEA 2016 Random Number was made available on June 20.

In case two candidates have equal marks in four subjects, same cutoff marks, date of birth, etc, then the Random Number of TNEA 2016 will be used.

The counselling process of TNEA 2016 involves the following steps:

Application Issue and collection
Application Scrutiny
Random Number and Rank Publication
Counselling call letter dispatch
Single window counselling

Candidates called for TNEA Counselling 2016 in the order of their merit.

Based on the merit and communal reservation, allotment of the branch/college chosen by them will be made.

Candidates have to opt for colleges and branches that are available at the time of counselling.

Candidates have to pay an initial deposit by cash or DD and produce all their original certificates when they attend counselling.

No change of date/time of TNEA Counselling 2016 is permissible.

Once allotted a seat, the amount already paid at the time of Counselling of TNEA 2016 will be adjusted in the tuition fee.

If a candidate does not join after allotment and seeks refund, only 80% of the initial deposit amount paid at the time of counselling will be refunded.

All admissions made through single window system are provisional.
