BCIT is the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
A Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic trainee must complete 6000 workplace hours and 720 in-school hours of training in a four-year program.
After completion of training, a passing grade on exams will result in-
ITA Certificate of Qualification (Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic),
Certificate of Apprenticeship and the
Inter-Provincial Red Seal Endorsement
