The Doctoral Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management will accept a test score report from either the GRE or the GMAT. There is no minimum score requirement, although competitive applicants have scores in the high 90th percentile.

The average GMAT or GRE score for admitted applicants:
Average GMAT: 735
Average GRE Quantitative: 167

Areas of Study for Ph D
Students can choose a concentration from seven major field areas.

Within each major field, emphasis is placed on understanding fundamental problems and areas of inquiry, gaining familiarity with state-of-the-art methods of conducting research particular to that field, and relating the field to the broader context of management and other disciplines.

The following academic units currently offer doctoral training:
• Accounting
• Decisions, Operations & Technology Management
• Finance
• Global Economics and Management
• Management and Organizations
• Marketing
• Strategy

Application Fees
The non-refundable application fee is
$90.00 for U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents;
$110.00 for international applicants

Cost of Attendance
The PhD is a 5-year program.
During the first 4 years, students are given fellowships to cover all tuition and fees, including non-resident student tuition (NRST).

Domestic students are expected to establish California residency in the first year;
NRST only be provided to domestic students in the first year.

In 5th year, student fees are covered by TA appointments, which provide fee remissions and a salary.
