Re: Geotechnical Engineering IIT Bombay

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was established in 1958 and the Civil Engineering Department is part of the institute since its inception.

The Department has grown tremendously over the years and is now recognized as one of the major engineering departments in the country.

About 117 students are admitted to the B. Tech degree programme. The intake into M. Tech. programmes is about 70. Every year about 30 students are admitted to our doctoral programme.
