Which exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the candidates who have geology subject ?

Geologist recruitment Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the candidates who have geology subject and want to become Geologist.

Exam notification generally given in month of June and exam be conducted in month of November every year .

Eligibility Criteria :
Age - limits:
21-32 years

Educational Qualification

Master's degree in Geology/Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized university;
or
Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad;
or
Master's degree in Mineral exploration from a recognized university (for posts in GSI);
or
Master's degree in Hydrogeology from a recgonized university (for posts in CGWB)

Part I :
Written Examination

(i)General English
100 Marks

(ii)Geology Paper-I
200 Marks

(iii) Geology Paper-II
200 Marks

(iv) Geology Paper-III
200 Marks

(v) Hydrogeology
200 Marks

Part II : Interview for Personality Test
