Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. is known as ONGC. It is one of the top 4 energy companies in Asia. It is one of the largest Asia-based oil and gas exploration and production companies. It is an Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, India.

Exam:
Written test will be objective type and it will be of duration of the 03 hours.

Paper will have three sections:-

A) General Awareness,
B) Concerned subject,
C) Aptitude test (comprising of Reading Comprehension, Verbal/ Non-verbal Reasoning, Numerical Ability/ Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation etc)
Negative marking (25%)

General awareness-
General awareness questions related to History, Geography, Life Science, Economics, political science and Current awareness. Current awareness mostly asked between the duration of last 3-6 months activity in the country.

Concerned Subjects-
For the engineering discipline papers question is very short and basic due to concerned time duration. Very short calculations questions are available so no need of the calculator (calculators not allowed).

Aptitude test-
Reading comprehension of the English passages and 4-5 questions related to each passage will be given.
Verbal / non-verbal reasoning
Numeric ability/ quantitative aptitude question.


PAPER PATTERN :
Objective type questions : 150 ( 75 Technical and 75 GK ). marking in GK each ques is of 1 mark and in Technical each ques half mark.

Most of technical questions comes from NON-INSTRUMENTATION subjects like microprocessors,, microcontrollers, optical fiber , communication etc.

Technical :
3 ques 5 marks each.
1. numerical on viscosity measurement
2. numerical on efiiciency of Class B ampliifier
3. CE configuration with voltage divider bias is shown. No resistance values given. Capacitors are connected in input and RE resistor. now u have to find out o/p voltage/

2 questions of 10 marks
1. problem of control system. calculation of rise time, peak time, overshoot. ( calculator is not allowed in exam )

2. problem of convolution in DSP.
