Re: Full Detail of CLAT

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the most sought-after of all the law entrances in India after Class XII. CLAT journey started in 2008 to secure a seat in one of the participating National Law University.

It is conducted every year to select students for 19 National Law Universities in India, other than National Law University-Delhi and HP National Law University-Shimla, which have their own process to select the students.

CLAT Eligibility:
To be eligible for CLAT, one must have secured:
(a) 45% marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII or equivalent) for candidates belonging to Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
(b) 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
One appearing in the qualifying exam in March/April is also eligible for appearing in CLAT online examination. However, one shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying exam at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
The result of qualifying exam (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by one at the time of admission failing which the candidate is ineligible for admission to the Course.
