French Institute Petroleum was established in the year of 1944 by the research organization of France. It is located in France. The development of CO2 capture, transport and geological storage process is in the one of five core areas of work. It collects fund from the state as well as French private sector and the international partners also. This organization has 40,000 patioents technology fields in France and in all over India.

It has two projects:

Lacq Basin CCS Pilot Project

In this project there is total investment is almost €60 million which is being carried out in partnership with Air Liquid and in cooperation with the French Petroleum Institute.

European COCATE project
In this project there is total budget of €4.5 million. It was funded by the European Commission.
The project was launched in January 2010 and will run for three years.
