CSIR-IIP conducts PhD program under the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) in Chemical Science and Chemical Engineering.

Eligibility

PhD in Chemical Science


Master Degree with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of chemical Sciences.

One should have a valid National level fellowship (JRF/ SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.

PhD in Chemical Engineering

One with a Master degree in Chemical Engineering having a good academic record and valid UGC/CSIR-JRF/ SRF or equivalent fellowship can apply.

OR

One having following qualifications is eligible to apply: B.E. / B.Tech with CGPA 8.5 / 85% Marks + valid GATE / NET (Engg) (Rank < 2000)

Selection Procedure
Short listed candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be called for test and / or interview.

Based on the academic record and performance of the candidates in the test and / or interview, the committee recommends names of the selected candidates for the PhD program.

Final list of selected candidates for PhD program will be announced on this webpage and AcSIR webpage. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the screening test and/or interview or at the time of joining.
