Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Lectureship acronym as KSET is conducted by University of Mysore in the state of Karnataka for formative the eligibility for Lecturer ship in various Universities, Colleges and Institutions of Higher education in Karnataka State only.

Important dates:
Online application starts from: 01/07/2014
Last date of online application: 31/07/2014
Last date of online application: 14/08/2014 (with late fee of Rs. 100/-)
Last date for receipt of form: 01/09/2014
Exam will be on: 30/11/2014

Paper pattern:
Test will be consisting of 3 Papers. Paper consist of only Multiple- Choice Questions (MCQ).
There are 2 sessions of Examination, One session includes Paper I & II and the Second one includes Paper III.

Syllabus for paper 1
Paper I will be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

60 multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any fifty (50) questions.
In the event of candidate attempting more than fifty (50) questions, the first fifty (50) questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.

Syllabus for Paper II

Paper II shall consist of questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
Each paper will consist of a Test Booklet containing 50 compulsory objective type questions of two marks each.

Syllabus for Paper III

Paper III shall consist of questions based on the subjects selected by the candidate.
