As you are asking about Electoral College which is in United States let me tell you that The United States Electoral College is that type of college which is responsible for electing the President and Vice President of the United States every four years and the college is officially authorized for that

Basically in the history of US politics generally US citizen does not elect The President and Vice President directly actually they elect electors who further elect the President and Vice President of the United States Electors are apportioned to each state and the District of US
