Ekt afcat
I will appear in AFCAT Exam in Next month. Now I don’t have detailed syllabus of the exam. can I start preparation with the syllabus of IAF Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) conducted by UPSC? I got information from somewhere that the syllabus of AFCAT and EKT exams is equal. So provide syllabus of IAF Engineering Knowledge Test?

Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) is a test for the engineering graduates who apply for the Technical Branches in the Indian Air Force (IAF). One who choose technical branch have to write the exam immediately after completing the AFCAT. One will be tested based on their specialisation branch like Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science, based on the subject they choose while applying, they will be asked basic engineering level questions. It is compulsory for engineering graduates who are appearing for technical entry in the Air Force to appear for this exam, they have to pass this test along with the AFCAT written test The EKT takes place immediately after the AFCAT paper that is as soon as the two hours of AFCAT test paper gets over. The normal test papers will be followed by EKT for the engineering graduates who are applying for technical branch entry through AFCAT. EKT Exam Pattern and Syllabus: EKT aims at assessing the technical knowledge of Aeronautical Engineering. This is Electrical and Mechanical Engineering questions from pre final to final year of the course. It is an objective based exam with 75 questions and for 60 minutes. Pattern and Syllabus of EKT: General Engineering: There are 40 questions from this topic. It includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electricals, Electronics, Computers, Mechanical Engineering. Specialist paper for each discipline: This has 35 questions. The syllabus is from Electronics, Computer, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation and Electrical. |
