Will you please tell what is the eligibility conditions to apply for the Technical Branch 86 AEC / 58 SSC Course through the AFCAT exam ?

As you want I am here telling you about the eligibility conditions to apply for the Technical Branch 86 AEC / 58 SSC Course through the AFCAT exam.

Eligibility criteria:
Technical Branch 86 AEC / 58 SSC Course:

Age: 18 to 28 years .

Educational Qualifications:
Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}.
Candidate who have completed minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies eligible for this branch .

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}:
Candidate who have completed minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies eligible for this branch.


AFCAT Exam Pattern
Time: The duration of the AFCAT written test is 2 hour.

Questions: There are a total of 100 questions in the examination paper of AFCAT.

Maximum Marks and cutoff:
The maximum mark for the paper is 300, thus each question carries 3 marks and for every wrong answer there is penalty of one mark


Type of questions: The AFCAT paper is an objective type paper and there are four options for each question, out of which only one is correct.
The candidate has to mark the correct answer on the OMR sheet provided. The question paper is a mixed paper and contains questions from all fields without any boundary marked.

There are no sectional cutoffs.

The questions asked are from variety of fields.

Subjects covered:
The question paper has questions from English, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Mathematics and General Awareness.
