University of Mumbai Department of Biotechnology, Mumbai was established in 1997

It offers two years Post graduate degree in Biotechnology.

Eligibility
Candidate must have passed 3 years integrated course degree examination with at least Seven Units in
OR
With Three Units in Biotechnology at the T.Y.B.Sc in combination with Three Units of any other major subject at the T.Y.B.Sc.

There is no entrance examination for the purpose of admissions to the MSc degree course in Biotechnology.

The admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained at the T.Y.B.Sc examination.
