Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (West Bengal University of Technology) conducts a state level entrance exam – WBUT PGET - for admissions to M Tech and M Pharma programs offered by various colleges in the state. One who has qualified GATE/GPAT can also appear for the exam.


Important Dates for WB PGET 2020 (Tentative)

Release of application form of WB PGET 2020 First week of June 2020
Last date for submission of Application form First week of July 2020
Release of Admit cards First week of July 2020
WB PGET 2020 Second week of July 2020
Declaration of results Third week of July 2020
Starting date of Counselling Process Last week of July 2020



WBUT PGET Results

WBUT PGET result and merit list will be announced on the official website in the month of July. Separate merit list will be created for GATE and GPAT candidates. Due weightage will be given to valid GATE/GPAT score will be given while preparing the merit list.

The weightage for the merit list will be:

GATE/GPAT aspirants: 70% weightage to GATE scores and 30% to PGET

PGET Candidates: 80% weightage to PGET scores and 20% to Academic Performance.

WBUT PGET rank card will be released shortly after the merit list is declared. It would comprise the scores and ranks of aspirants. To download rank card, one will need their email id or application number.



WBUT PGET 2020 Eligibility


One must be a citizen of India.

One must have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant stream, depending upon the course which candidate is opting.

One still in final year of the relevant graduation can also apply for the test.

MSC students having degree in relevant principle can also apply for the test.

One who studied such relevant degree from Distance Education are ineligible.
