Delhi College of Engineering Combined Entrance Examination has been discontinued and replaced with JEE (Main).

For your idea , here I am providing the JEE (Main) exam details .

Joint Entrance Exam (Main) is one of the two Exams - other being JEE (Advanced) -for providing admission to Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, and Institutions funded by several participating State Governments.

Eligibility Criterion

Applicants should have passed 10+2 with PCM .

Applicants appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) may also appear in JEE (Main) provisionally.

Exam Pattern—

JEE (Main) Exam consists of two papers:

Paper-1 of JEE (Main) will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline mode and Online mode.

Paper-2 of JEE (Main) will be conducted only in Offline mode.

Paper I Exam Subjects --
Physics
Chemistry &
Mathematics

Objective type with equal weightage to all the three subject

Paper II Exam Subjects --

Mathematics - Part I
Aptitude Test - Part II &
Drawing Test - Part III

Tentative Dates –

Date of Notification and Availability of Online Application Form--Nov, 2015

Last Date for Submission of Application Form
--Jan, 2016

Date of Availability of Admit Card for JEE (Main) on Website---Mar, 2016 onwards

Date of JEE (Mains) Exam---Apr, 2016

Declaration of JEE (Main) Score and top 1,50,000 candidates eligible for appearing in JEE (Advanced)

As you have asked about the DCE engineering entrance exam, I want to tell
you that it does not longer take place.

It has been replaced by JEE (Mains) exam.

Candidates are selected for admission to DCE on the basis of their
performance in JEE (Mains) exam.

Exam pattern:
The paper is a Objective type paper with equal weightage to physics,
chemistry and mathematics.

The JEE (Main) (Paper I) will have one objective type question paper.

The paper will have

Physics,

Chemistry

Mathematics

The duration of the paper will be Three Hours.



The Paper II for admissions to B.Arch./ B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs,
DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs will have 1 Question Paper consisting of

Mathematics,

Aptitude Test

Drawing Test

The duration of the paper will be of 3 hrs.



Number of Seats:

Total seats are around 5.5 lakhs (approx).

30 NITs= 20,000 plus seats

5 IIITs = 2000 plus seats

6 IISERs + IISc = 2500 Plus Seats

IIST + ISI = 500 Plus Seats

Other deemed Universities ( National Level) = 5000 Plus Seats
State Level Colleges = 5 Lakh plus Seats
