The curriculum of Don Bosco School of Excellence follows the rules and guidance of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school is divided into the following units: Kindergarten (LKG and UKG), Primary (1st Grade to 5th Grade) and Middle School 6th Grade. Curriculum Value based Education: To instill values in students from a young age onwards Don Bosco School of Excellence give emphasis on Value based education among its children. Maths The teachers of the School present math concepts and practice math-related skills with a focus on the attainment mastery of basic skills, and integrate the use of technology beginning in Kindergarten. Languages English Interactive English integrates reading, grammar, spelling, penmanship, vocabulary and oral presentations which encourages a love of reading and develop good writing skills Hindi The official language of the country is taught as second language up till Grade 4. Thereafter students need to opt between Hindi, Tamil and French as their second language Tamil Tamil is a compulsory third language up to Grade 4. So students need to be equipped with the ability to speak, read and write the regional language. Science/ Environmental Studies Students study Life Science, Earth Science and Physical Science throughout all grade levels. Through experimentation children use scientific inquiry and the scientific method to make observations and inferences. Social Studies The study of families and relations is introduced in the primary grades only. Physical Education The Physical Education Program improve individual and team skills as well as each student’s level of physical fitness through a variety of age-appropriate sports and activities. Art and Craft In all the levels of grades, various art supplies are used as well as different techniques to create works of art and craft. Technology Students learn to use a variety of applications, educationally designed software and online learning tools. Library In all levels of grades, borrowing books is introduced as well as responsibility for returning them on time is taught. Music Music class or subject is offered in all grades. The students learn rhythms through clapping, singing and/or playing instruments. World Languages (French and German) A world language i.e. French and German is the second language option to students from Grade 5 level onwards with an emphasis on basic grammar and culture.
