Can you tell me in detail about the DASA -Direct Admission of Students Abroad policy of NIT or National Institute of Technology Calicut as I want to check if I can apply through it?

National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is a federally funded technical university which was established in 1961.

The details of admissions to B.Tech / B.Arch programmes under the DASA Scheme - 2015-2016 are as follows:

1. Reporting Date :
July 13 to July 16, 2015

Time :
09.00 AM to 5.00 PM

Venue :
Lecture Hall Complex – Aryabhatta Hall.

2. Documents to be brought by the candidate at the time of admission

The originals of the following documents have to be brought and submitted at the time of reporting for admission:

1. Provisional allotment letter

2. 10th standard / Matriculation or equivalent certificate or any other certificate issued by government authorities, as proof for date of birth.

3. Mark sheet/grade card and Pass certificate of the qualifying examination.

4. School Leaving / Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.

5. Character and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended.

6. Character and Conduct Certificate from a Gazetted Officer issued after January 31, 2015 for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in years prior to the current academic year i.e., 2014-2015.

7. Passport and VISA to prove the eligibility of DASA candidature. Physical Fitness Certificate issued by a Govt. Medical Officer not below the rank of Asst. Surgeon in the prescribed format.

8. Passport size photographs – 10

9. Stamp size photographs - 2
