Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was established in 27 July, 1939, it is the largest of India's Central Armed Police Forces and it functions under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India.

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) uses basic Infantry weapons which are manufactured indigenously at the Indian Ordnance Factories under control of the Ordnance Factories Board:
