You are looking for the details regarding the CLAT Exam. So I am providing it to you so that it may be helpful for you: The dates of the exam are gone. But for your sake I am providing you the details regarding this to you so that it may be helpful for you next year: Eligibility: Under-Graduate Programmes Education Qualification: The candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination or equivalent with not less than 45% marks for General and 40% marks for SC/ST* and Persons with Disability*. Age Limit: The age of the candidates must be less than 20 Years. Post-graduate Programme: The applicants must have passed the LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST* and persons with Disability*). Examination Centres: Bangalore Bhopal Chandigarh Chennai Cochin Gandhinagar Guwahati Hyderabad Jodhpur Kolkata Lucknow Mumbai New Delhi Patiala Patna Raipur Tentative dates: Publication of advertisement 1st week of January Issue of application forms 2nd week of January Last date for submission of application forms 1st week of April Issue of Hall Tickets 2nd week of April Date of admission test for UG/PG 2nd week of May Publication of result Last week of May Completion of admission process Last week of June Commencement of classes 1st week of July Syllabus: There is no fixed syllabus for CLAT The different subject areas of the exam are explained as under: 1. English including Comprehension The English section will test the candidates proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will be questioned on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc. 2. General Knowledge And Current Affairs As far as general knowledge is concerned, the candidates will be assessed on their general awareness including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will test candidate’s knowledge on current affairs (broadly defined as matters featuring in the mainstream media between March 2014 and April 2015) 3. Mathematics This section will test candidates only on “elementary” mathematics i.e. maths that is taught till the class 10. 4.Legal Aptitude This section will test candidate interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. Questions will be framed with the help of legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be "true" in the real sense (e.g. the legal proposition may be that any person who speaks in a movie hall and disturbs others that are watching the movie will be banned from entering any movie theatre across India for one year). Candidates will have to assume the "truth" of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly. 5. Logical Reasoning The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidates ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include a wide variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.
