As the Company Secretary (CS) exam is conducted twice in a year i.e after every 6 months in June and December. So you can definitely skip the June exam and go for December exam.

You can appear for CS exam within the period of three years from the date of your registration. To appear for exam in a particular month, you need to fill-up and submit the exam form for that particular exam.

Levels to Become a Company Secretary

Foundation Programme
Eligibility: Class 12 pass
Minimum Duration: 8 months
Maximum Duration: Needs to be completed within 3 years of registration

Paper
Business Environment and Entrepreneurship
Business Management, ethics and Communication
Business Economics
Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing

Executive Programme
Eligibility: Clear Foundation Programme/ Graduates from all disciplines except Fine Arts can directly enroll
Minimum Duration: 12 months
Maximum Duration: Needs to be completed within 5 years of registration for the Executive Programme

Paper
Module I
General and Commercial laws
Company Accounts, Cost andManagement Accounting
Tax laws

Module II
Company Laws
Economic and Labour Laws
Securities Laws Compliances

Professional Programme
Eligibility: Cleared Executive Programme
Minimum Duration: 12 months
Maximum Duration: Needs to be completed within 5 years of registration for the Executive Programme

Drafting, Appearances and Pleadings

Module II
Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
Corporate restructuring and insolvency

Module III
Strategic Management, Alliances and International Trade
