The Civil Services exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of eligible candidates to various Central Government services such as the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and the Indian Foreign Service.

Nationality:
The candidates should be the citizens of India for the IAS & IPS.

Age limit:
The candidates should not aged less than 21 years and not more than 32 years

Educational qualification:
The candidates should possess a degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
