Citibank offer 'Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account' and 'Small Account'. These accounts come with an ATM/Debit Card and cheque book.

There is no minimum relationship value requirement to be maintained in these accounts

Transaction limits of Small account

Small Accounts are subject to transaction limits such as:

The aggregate of all credits in a financial year cannot exceed Rs1 Lakh

The aggregate of all withdrawals and transfers in a month cannot exceed Rs10, 000

The balance at any point of time does not exceed Rs50, 000

No foreign remittances transactions will be permitted in the account unless the identity of the client is fully established through the production of officially valid documents

About the account


In addition to all the features offered under 'Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account(BSBDA)' and 'Small Account', account opened under 'Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana(PMJDY)' comes with a Personal Accident(PA) cover of Rs. 1 Lac.

This cover is for protection against accidental injuries, accidental death and permanent disability.

The said cover becomes effective from the date of account opening and is applicable to customers only between the age of 18 and 70 year.

Small account facilities


Minimum Balance-Nil

Charges for non-maintenance there of-Nil

Annual Fee-Nil

ECS bounce-250

These charges are levied only if the ECS instruction is not honored due to inadequate funds in the Account.

Service Tax as applicable would be levied on all the charges mentioned.

Membership Fee Free

Annual Fee-Free Debit Card

Other Debit Cards are not applicable
