The University of Salford is a public research university located in Salford, England,

It was opened in 1896

It offers Nursing /RN Children and Young People's BSc (Hons) course over three semesters per year.

Course structure
Year 1

Three Core Modules:
Foundations of Nursing Knowledge and Practice
Nursing and Health
Introduction to the Field of Practice (Children and Young People's)

Year 2
Two Core Modules:
Mental and Physical Health and Well Being across the Lifespan
Nursing Practice and Decision Making (Children and Young People's)

Plus two optional modules from:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy: Brief Interventions
Cultural Awareness, Health Care and Globalisation
End of Life and Palliative Care
Human Relationships and Introduction to Counselling
Public Health - Theory, Policy and Practice

Preparation for Role Transition
Developing the Evidence Base for Practice (core/field)
Preparation for Professional Practice (Children and Young People's)

Entry Requirements

GCSE
All applicants must have 5 GCSEs including English language, maths and science at Grade C minimum

UCAS tariff points
260-300 points

BTEC National Diploma
DMM

Scottish Highers
Equivalence of 260-300 UCAS points

Irish Leaving Certificate
Equivalence of 260-300 UCAS points

International Baccalaureate
25 points

English Language Requirements
IELTS - Minimum score 7- with no individual component below 7
