Re: Children's University CYMRU

The Children and Young People's University CYMRU (CU) is a national accreditation scheme for all children and young people aged 5-19, which recognizes and rewards the commitment they give to many activities outside school hours.

The Children's University awards credits to children and young people who attend out of school hours learning activities which have been registered with CU.

Examples of organizations which are involved in the scheme:

Out of Hours activities in schools and community venues
Extra curricular activities at Outdoor Education Centres
Sports clubs and dance groups
Youth Clubs and community youth groups
Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
Volunteering activities
Youth Offending Team activities
Uniformed Youth Organisations
Galleries, Museums, Libraries & Leisure Centres
Fire Service and Police initiatives
Church and Faith groups
