The College of Fisheries is constituent Unit of Central Agricultural University in Agartala, Tripura.

The College of Fisheries was established in October, 1998 as the 12th Fishery College of the country established under the Agricultural University system.

The college offers a four year B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) Degree programme and a two year M.F.Sc. (Master of Fisheries Science) Post Graduate Degree programme.

There are six departments covering different disciplines of Fishery Science.

Programs offered-

Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc)

Duration 4 yaers

Eligibility-

Candidates must have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subjects as shown below at Higher Secondary/10 + 2/Intermediate examination for General/OBC/UPS category and 40% marks in aggregates for SC/ST including physically challenged/in-service candidates.

Master of Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc)

Duration 2 years

Eligibility-

Bachelors degree in concerned/related subjects from a recognized
University with OGPA of 6.60/10.00, 3.25/5.00, 2.6/4.00 for General/OBC/UPS candidates

SC/ST/PC candidates with OGPA of 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 in the Bachelors degree programme shall be eligible for the admission.

Doctor of Philosophy in Fisheries Science-

Duration

Minimum 3 years
Maximum 6 years

Eligibility-

Masters degree in concerned/related subjects from a recognized University
with OGPA of 6.50/10.00, 3.25/5.00, 2.6/4.00

SC/ST/PC category candidates with OGPA of 5.50/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 in the Masters degree shall be eligible for admission.
