Re: Cambridge Math Entrance Exam

Cambridge University conduct Sixth Term Examination Papers in Mathematics (STEP) which is a series of three examination papers used to assess aptitude for university study in Mathematics and mathematical subjects. It is based on common core syllabus of A Level Mathematics.

STEP is used for all conditional offers in Mathematics (including Mathematics with Physics) and Computer Science with Mathematics. Some Colleges may use STEP for other courses:
St John’s may ask for STEP as part of conditional offers in Engineering
Peterhouse may occasionally ask for STEP as part of conditional offers in Engineering and Natural Sciences, depending upon mathematical background
St Edmund's may ask for STEP as part of conditional offers in Economics
Christ's College may ask for STEP as part of conditional offers in Engineering
Trinity Hall may, in exceptional circumstances, ask for STEP as part of conditional offers in Economics

Entry Requirements:
A Level: A*AA + STEP
IB: 40-41 points, with 776 at Higher Level + STEP
