I had done 12th from science stream now I want to do CA so can I do CA after 12th from science stream please provide me some details.

CA is conducted by institute of chartered accountants of India in two parts

There are three stages for become CA:

• CPT
• IPCC
• CA-Final

Eligibility Criteria for CA

For Competency Professional Test (CPT)

Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam form any recognized Board.

For Integrated Professional Competency Examination (IPCE)

Candidates must have pass CPT or B.Com degree from recognized university.

For Final examination-

Candidates have to pass both the PE-1 and PE-2 exam.

CA-CPT consists of:

Session – I (Two hours – 100 Marks)
Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (60 Marks)
Section B: Mercantile Laws (40 Marks)

Session – II (Two Sections – Two hours – 100 Marks)
Section A: General Economics (50 Marks)
Section B: Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)

Yes you are eligible for CA and you can do CA after 12th science. As the minimum
eligiblity for non-commerce graduates with subjects other than Mathematics with
an aggregate of 55% marks and non-commerce graduates with Maths with an
aggregate of 60% marks are exempted from the Competency Professional Test
and are permitted to register for Professional Competency Course.

The CA Course has four Levels in total

CPT (Common Proficiency Test)
IPCC/IPCE (Integrated Professional Competence Course)
Three years of Articleship under any C.A who is practicing the profession
CA Final Exam

The process to become a Chartered Accountant (CA)

Registration for the CPT (Common Proficiency Test):

First step is to register for CPT with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) after passing 10th Standard examination.

Pass the CPT(Common Proficiency Test):

Take CPT examination after you appear in the 12th exam and after completion of period of 60 days from the date of registration for CPT.

Registration of the IPCC level:

IPCC - Integrated Professional Competence Course would be the next stage after p[assing the CPT and 12th Level. Passing the CPT and 12

th

exam is mandatory without wich one would not able to register for IPCC. Generally, the registration for the IPCC must be done well in advance that is before 9 months of the IPCC exam.

IPCC level contains total 7 papers (Group 1+ Group 2).
Group - 1 - four papers
Group - 2 - is composed of three papers.
Passing the Group - I, is necessary for commencing an Articleship.
ITT (Information Technology Training) and Orientation Course:

Candidates need to complete 100 hours Information Technology Training (ITT).
