BSNL conducts examination to recruitment on JTO post . Nortification for exam given in months of February – March annually and exam is generally held in April – May. BSNL JTO Exam eligibility : Education Qualification : Candidate must be graduates in Engineering or Technology or having equivalent degree . Students must have learned any one of the following disciplines: Computer Electrical Electronics Information Technology Radio Telecommunication Candidate must score of above 60 percent ought to have been scored by the students in their finals. Age Qualification : 21 years -30 years. Relaxation as : Government servants – 5 years BSNL employees – 5 years Applicants of the SC and ST tribes – 5 years Applicants of the OBC category – 3 years Applicants of the PH General Category – 10 years [SC/ST: 15 years and OBC:13 years] Paper Pattern for BSNL JTO Exam :- The examination will be of three hours duration with one question paper containing the following three sections: For JTOs(Telecom) Section-I : Engineering Stream : 50 questions Section-II : Engineering Stream : 50 questions Section-III : General Ability test : 20 questions For JTOs(Electrical) Section-I : Electrical Engineering Stream:50 questions Section-II : Electrical Engineering Stream: 50 questions Section-III : General Awareness: 20 questions The question paper will be fully objective type with multiple options as answers to each question. The standard of papers in Engineering subjects will be that of Engineering examination of an indian university. |

Physical Electronics, Electron Devices and ICs Electrons and holes in semiconductors, Carrier Statistics, Mechanics of current flow in a semi-conductor, Hall effect; Junction theory; Different types of diodes and their characteristics; Bipolar Junction transistor; Field effect transistors; Power switching devices like SCRs, CTOs, power MOSFETs; Basics of ICs-bipolar, MOS and CMOS types; Basics of Opto Electronics. 3. Network Theory Network analysis techniques: Network theorem, transient and steady state sinusoidal response, Transmission criteria: delay and rise time Elmore's and other definition, effect of cascading.
