Brunei Universities Scholarship

What is the eligibility for taking the Scholarship form Brunei Universities? Also give me Allowances information about it.

The British Universities in Brunei Association (BUBA) is an association of 40+ UK Universities. The aim of the organization is to promote relationships and develop understanding between British Universities and all Brunei students or organizations who are interested in UK Higher Education.

The eligibility for MoE scholarships is as follows;-
Bruneian citizenship
Pass in ‘O’ level English or ‘A’ level General Paper, or IELTS score of 6.0
Pass in ‘O’ level Malay
Meet academic criteria (degree)
Dentistry/medicine 300pts
Science, Engineering 260pts
Economics and Business 260pts
Arts and Social Science 240pts
Physical Education 240pts
English/English Literature 220pts
HND: 140 points
For postgraduate courses, at least a second class honours degree

Other scholarships available to Bruneian students
Shell: students from A levels will be selected for this scholarship. Rigorous selection process as the scholarship holders are future employees of Shell. In oil related fields, such as mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering, geophysics, chemical engineering etc
Ministry of Defence: students from A levels will be selected for this scholarship. Preference for USA or Oxford/Cambridge/Imperial/LSE
Sultan’s scholars. Administered by the SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH FOUNDATION. Student is has a three A grades at ‘A’ levels

Allowances payable will include:
Monthly personal allowance of BND500.00
Annual Book Allowance BND600.00
Monthly food allowance of BND150.00
Baggage allowance maximum institution of BND250.00 to ASEAN region and BND500.00 to non ASEAN region upon completion of the programme only.

Scholarships are offered to Bruneians at all levels of education, from ‘A’ levels and diplomas to postgraduate taught and research courses.

Scholarship in Brunei Universities

1. MoE scholarships

Eligibility

You must be Brunei Citizen.
The age limit is 26 years old for degree program.
You have UCAS 300 points/ IB Diploma 32 points; GPA 2.5 for HND or Distinction in Advance Diploma
Your university should be under 250 top universities.


2. Brunei Administrative Service Scholarship Scheme (BAS)

Eligibility

You must be Brunei Citizen.
The age limit is 26 years old for degree program
At least 7 subjects with grade A in ‘O’ Level including the Malay and English languages
Study level-A

3. JPKE Human Resource Fund Scholarship (DANA)

Eligibility

You must be Brunei Citizen.
The age limit is 26 years old for degree program.
AAA in one sitting or 38 points IB Diploma

4. Public Service Commission

5. Shell: top students from A levels. Rigorous selection process as the scholarship holders are future employees of Shell.

6. Ministry of Defence op students from A levels. Discipline is chosen by the student. Preference for USA or Oxford/ Cambridge/ Imperial/ LSE

7. Sultan’s scholars- Student is required to have three A grades at ‘A’ levels
