Qualification for MS Speech Language Pathology

A bachelor’s degree

Evidence of academic and clinical aptitude in the form of previous academic records,
aptitude scores on the Graduate Record Examination (institution code 3087), and at
least three letters of reference from individuals familiar with the your academic ability

Identification of a research faculty mentor

An interview with the doctoral program faculty


Application Deadline:

January 1 for fall semester admission

Prerequisite speech-language pathology and audiology courses

SAR SH521: Phonetics

SAR SH522: Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech Mechanism

SAR SH524: Language Acquisition

SAR SH531: Introduction to Communication Disorders

SAR SH535: Diagnostic Audiology

SAR SH547: Introduction to the Clinical Process I

The following courses or their equivalents must be completed prior to graduation:

SAR SH505: Introduction to Phonological Disorders

SAR SH542: Aural Rehabilitation
