Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has released the recruitment of Engineer Trainees in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering and Metallurgy.

Candidates must have valid GATE 2016 scores to be eligible for recruitment.

The last date to apply for the recruitment was February 1, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering /Technology or Five year integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology in the disciplines of Mechanical /Electrical /Electronics Engineering/ Metallurgy from a recognized Indian University/ Institute

Age Limit:

Candidates must be 27 Years

29 years for candidates having two years’ full time Post Graduate in Engineering or Business Administration/ Management

SC/ST:
OBC (NCL): Relaxation by 3 years

Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation will be as per extant Govt. rules.

Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1/1/1980 to 31/12/1989: Relaxation by 5 years

Physically Challenged Candidates: Upper age limit is relaxable as follows

by 10 years for General
by 13 years for OBC (NCL)
by 15 years for SC/ST

Selection process:

On the basis of GATE 2016 scores followed by a personal interview.

Weightage will be 75% to GATE 2016 scores and 25% to Interview.

Physically Challenged candidates will be accorded upto 20 % relaxation below the cut-off marks in their respective categories for being short listed for interview.
