Which is better between IES officer (Civil Engineering) or a private job?

I have passed B.Tech Civil Engineering and now I want to get the details that which is better between IES officer (Civil Engineering) or a private job so can you provide me that?

As it is a government job and government job has always has a edge over private job

Bricks: Types, Indian Standard classification, absorption, saturation factor, strength in masonry, influence of morter strength on masonry strength.
Cement: Compounds of, different types, setting times, strength.
Cement Mortar: Ingredients, proportions, water demand, mortars for plastering and masonry.
Concrete: Importance of W/C Ratio, Strength, ingredients including admixtures,
workability, testing for strength, elasticity, non-destructive testing, mix design methods.

2. SOLID MECHANICS
Elastic constants, stress, plane stress, Mohr’s circle of stress, strains, plane strain, Mohr’s circle of strain, combined stress; Elastic theories of failure; Simple bending, shear; Torsion of circular and rectangular sections and simple members.

3. STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
Analysis of determinate structures - different methods including graphical methods.
Analysis of indeterminate skeletal frames - moment distribution, slope-deflection, stiffness and force methods, energy methods, Muller-Breslau principle and application.
Plastic analysis of indeterminate beams and simple frames - shape factors.

It is an personal choice one has to make that whether to do private job or become an IES officer.

There are several opening with private firms but also the risk of Job security looms large over the minds if the performance is not up to the mark.

Also you need to get yourself upgraded with the current trends very instantaneously.

But with IES examination clearance the prospects are more brighter as it will be a central government job.

Advantages if you chose civil services are mentioned below:

->First of all you will do some service to your mother land other than persons who opt for private jobs and satisfy with those jobs

->the status among the society will be amazing which you can't expect.

->the financial position will be good

->acknowledgment among a group will be amazing.

->your family future will be secured.

->after giving up work also you'll live happy without any tensions.
