State Bank of India (SBI) conducts an exam for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer (PO) for its branches across the country.

Admission Details-

Eligibility-

Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Final year students can also apply subject to submission of requisite proof by Aug 10, 2014.

Age Limit-
A candidate should be between 21 - 30 years. 3 year relaxation for OBC and 5 year for SC/ST, Ex-servicemen of military.

Selection Process-
SBI PO consists of 3 successive stages:

Objective (online)and Descriptive (paper-based) examination.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview of 20 and 30 marks respectively.
Final selection based on a total of 100 marks taken from both objective and descriptive tests and the GD - PI.

Important Dates (2014)-
Online registration starts from Apr 7, 2014
Payment of fees (online) Apr 7 - Apr 25, 2014
Payment of fees (offline) Apr 10 – Apr 28, 2014
Exam date (tentative) June 2014

How to Apply-

Step I. Register and get the registration number and password generated.

Step II. Pay the fee of Rs. 500 (General & Others) or Rs. 100 (SC/ST/PWD) using either:
• Online Mode – through Debit / Credit cards or Internet Banking
• Offline Mode - through any branch of SBI

As you asking for the Bank Po Examination let me tell ypu that the Bank Po Examination are for the Post of the Probationary Officer in the banks this examination is conducted by the IBPS every year

the details of the Examination are as follow :

Eligibility
Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following:
A citizen of India
A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01/01/1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limit
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 30 years.


Educational Qualification
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Examination Pattern:
Preliminary Examination
Section Questions Marks
English Language 30 30
Quantitative Aptitude 35 35
Reasoning Ability 35 35
Total 100 100
Time Duration: 1 hour
Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks deducted for every incorrect answer
