Can you tell me about the procedure to take admission in B.Ed correspondence course offered by IGNOU and also tell me about its fee structure?

One needs to clear Indira Gandhi National Open University B Ed Entrance Exam which is called as OPEN MAT to get admission in the course. The details of Bachelor of Education (B Ed) course offered by IGNOU (Indra Gandhi National Open University) are as follows:

Minimum Duration: 2 Years
Maximum Duration: 4 Years
Course Fee: Rs. 20,000
Age: No bar

Programme Fee
Rs. 20,000/- for the entire Programme in Lump sum in the first year only

Eligibility:

Graduation or Post-Graduation Degree with 50% marks

2 years’ full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school with registration number recognized by the respective Directorate of Education or Central or State Government or Union Territory.

The teacher must be in service at the time of submitting application form.

The reservation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and other categories is as per the rules of the Central Government.

There is relaxation of 5% marks for them.

The candidate needs to submit the application form only at the concerned Regional Centre under whose jurisdiction/operational area the working school falls.

Master Degree awarded without a first degree is not accepted for purpose of Academic Studies in IGNOU.

Candidates who appeared in the qualifying examination (Bachelor/high degree) and the result are awaited can also apply.
