I have completed Diploma and now want to do B.E. course so please tell me the duration of B.E. after Diploma and available subjects for B.E. after diploma?

The Bachelor of Engineering or B.E. is also called as Bachelor of Technology or B. Tech. Duration of this course is four years and this course consists of eight semesters including practical training, workshops, and projects.

After Engineering Diploma you will get admission in 2nd year of B.E. so the duration of B.E for you is 3 academic years.

Engineering Institutes of India offer the B. Tech degree in the following subject areas:
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Applied Electronics and Instrumentation
• Electronics (Communication & Instrumentation) Engineering
• Information Technology
• Nanotechnology
• Mechanical Engineering
• Automobile Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Agricultural Engineering (Food Technology Engineering)
• Chemical Engineering
• Mechatronical Engineering, etc.


Eligibility Criteria for B. Tech:

Educational Qualification:
Candidate should pass their 10+2 or any other equivalent 12th standard examination from a recognized board with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

Minimum 50% marks are required in 10+2 examination and 60% marks for some reputed institutes.

English should be considered as a compulsory subject in their 10+2 level.

Or

Students who have passed with a diploma in technology with 60% in aggregate are eligible for admission directly to the second year of B. Tech.

Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum age 23 years

Admission Procedure for Diploma Students:
They have to clear Common Entrance Test. This test will include questions on Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Mechanics, Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Computer Awareness, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English, and Scientific Aptitude.

Or

Some Institutes provide direct admission on the basis of counseling of marks obtained by students in their Diploma course.
