Please tell me how many times the general category applicant can apply for Indian Engineering Service ?

Indian Engineering Services (IES) Entrance Exam will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination i. Civil Engineering ii. Mechanical Engineering iii. Electrical Engineering iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Attempts allowed in Indian Engineering Service: For General candidates : Four attempts For OBC candidates : Seven attempts For SC/ST candidates : No limit Age-limits : 21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination. Educational Qualifications: Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./B.sc.) from a recognised university or equivalent. Or M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain services / posts only. Indian Engineering Services are the Civil Services that Meet the Technical and Managerial Functions of the Government of India. Number Of Attempts: There are 4 Attempts for General Category. There are 7 Attempts for OBC Category. And There are No Limit of Attempts for SC/ST Candidate Age Limit : Age Limit between 21-30 Years for General Category 3 Years Extra for OBC and 5 years extra for SC/ST Candidate Eligibility : Educational Qualifications : Candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) from a Recognized University M. Sc Degree with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain services / posts only.
