The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) is a characteristic monetary range bound together by the Mekong River, covering 2.6 million square kilometers and a consolidated populace of around 326 million.

The GMS nations are Cambodia, the People's Republic of China (PRC, particularly Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

In 1992, with help from ADB, the six nations went into a project of subregional financial participation, intended to improve monetary relations among the nations

The GMS Program, with the backing of ADB and other advancement accomplices, distinguishes and execute high-need subregional ventures in an extensive variety of areas.

To understand its vision of a prosperous, incorporated, and agreeable subregion, the GMS Program has received a three-pronged methodology:
