Dr. Ashutosh was born and educated in Delhi. He did his MBBS in 1991 and MD (Medicine) in 1994 from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi.

He joined the DM programme of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at PGIMER in 1995

He has published more than 175 scientific papers in national and international journals.
