Kindly provide me with the details regarding Advance eye Center of “Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research”. I have to admit one of my relatives there some critical eye operation. So before that I want to make sure will this be best suited for me or not? Kindly update.

I have heard a lot about the Advanced Eye Centre (ACE) of PGIMER Chandigarh wants to know more related to this center. Will you provide basic details about this ACE department along with OPD schedule also tell is there any courses offered in this center if yes provide me details?

The Advanced Eye Centre (ACE) was inaugurated on 18th March 2006 by the Honourable Vice President of India, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in the august presence of the Union Health Minictor and President of the PGIMER, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss
OPHTHALMOLOGY

The department operates OPD on all the days of the week except Sundays. It has Nine (9) Special Clinics, which run on particular days.

Patients are redirected from EYE OPD to Special Clinic OPD.

The department has an Operation Theater, which conducts both Minor Operations and Major Operations.

The department has laboratories to conduct number of Tests and Procedures.

Various registers (e.g. OT registers and Laboratory registers, Stock Registers etc) are maintained in the department. All MLC cases are handled in the Hospital Emergency.

The Department of Ophthalmology started Phacoemsulsification (1994), PPV (1995), Lasik (2004), Femto assisted Lasik (2011), bladeless penetrating corneal grafting (2010), DSEAK (2011), Corneal Cross Linkage (2010)
