Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), a deemed university, was established by the government of India in 1989. The campus is situated on 448 acres in the Longowal, Sangrur district, Punjab, India.

SLIET is located 19 kilometres (12 mi) east of Sangrur. It is situated on 451 acres (183 ha) of land provided by the Punjab government
