Yes, you can apply for Merchant Navy after completing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering for Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (Formerly known as GME), 1 year course, here is eligibility criteria:


Eligibility;
The applicant should have Graduate in B.E Mechanical engineering with an aggregate of 60% (SC/ST-55%).

You need to have a valid IIT-JEE score.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate need to pass gradation in BE (Mechanical) Engineering / Naval Architecture with at least marks of 50%.
Candidate must have at least 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
