Azusa Pacific offers three application deadlines: Early Action, Regular Decision (priority), and Final. Many students choose to apply for Early Action. This is encouraged if is a high school senior and Azusa Pacific University is one of top-choice colleges.

The following deadlines are firm and apply to first-year freshmen and transfer students. Applications may be submitted after the Early Action and Regular Decision deadlines, but it cannot be guaranteed that such applications will be given the same consideration as those submitted on or before the Early Action and Regular Decision deadline dates.


Fall Semester

Early Action (freshmen only)
November 15 application deadline

Regular Decision

February 15 priority application deadline (recommended deadline)

June 1 final deadline (incoming freshmen; may be subject to an enrolment waiting list)

July 1 final transfer deadline (transfer students; may be subject to an enrolment waiting list)

There may be an enrolment waiting list that begins before the final June 1 deadline. Applications should be submitted by February 15 to ensure priority consideration for both admission and financial aid.


Spring Semester

October 15 priority application deadline (recommended deadline)

December 1 final deadline (maybe subject to an enrolment waiting list)

Early Action

By applying to the Early Action deadline, one can potentially learn of acceptance to the top-choice schools early. This means more time to spend on identifying the best financial aid packages, planning campus visits, and ultimately, selecting the college with the best fit.

One accepted through Early Action still have until May 1 to make their final decision, but the sooner one secure spot, the sooner one can start planning to attend.

One not accepted for Early Action will be notified that one will be reconsidered for admission under Regular Decision. This will allow time for additional materials to be submitted that might strengthen the overall file.

One applying for Early Action will be notified of the admission status within three weeks of completion. One for Regular Decision and one not offered admission through Early Action will receive notification by April.

Applications are reviewed and decisions are mailed on a rolling basis. It is to the benefit of each student to complete the application requirements as early as possible.
