Anna University Transfer

I am doing B.Tech 3rd semester from Anna University. I want to change University for my Engineering Program. Is it possible that can I get transfer from one University to another University? Give me contact details of admission office of Anna University where I can contact and get information about the Transfer process.

Can you provide me the guidelines for Transfer as issued by Anna University, Chennai as I want to check it before applying for it, please help me with this?

One seeking (UG Courses) transfer between Self-financing Engineering Colleges / Government Engineering Colleges / Autonomous Engineering Colleges need to contact the Commissioner, Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai

University will issue Transfer approval orders after obtaining the remarks from the Controller of Exams and also the receipt of the required fee, for the concerned academic year as and when the transfer orders received from the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai

One belonging to other Anna Universities of Technology has to send the attested copies of previous semester Mark Sheets along with the readmission fee.

The College should also get the approval of the Director, Academic Courses, Anna University Chennai, for any additional courses to be undertaken by student and/or exemption of courses already studied in respect of one who has transferred before the end of final semester, in case of change in Regulations, if any.

Guidelines for Transfer

One studying in Government / Aided / Constituent Colleges of University will be considered for Transfer only to Government / Aided / Constituent Colleges of University.

One studying in Self Financing Engineering Colleges will be considered for Transfer to another Self Financing Engineering College only.

Branch Transfer is not accorded under any circumstances.

Transfer is accorded within the sanctioned Intake in the respective branch of study in the College to which Transfer is requested.

In case of Inter University Transfer / Autonomous Institutions Transfer, one should have cleared in all the subjects during the previous semesters of study.

For Inter University Transfer / Autonomous Institutions Transfer, during Vth semester, NOC from the University to which the Transfer requested College is affiliated is compulsory
