In Tamilnadu, candidates who have completed 3 year diploma courses from TNDTE/DOTE or from any other recognized institution are eligible for applying Lateral Entry Exam and so for counseling.

Eligibility required for Diploma Holders:

A pass with minimum eligibility marks in any of the Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for the Degree Courses.
